Tracking Referral Bonuses

Record referral bonuses, monitor their status, and stay within issuer annual caps.

  1. Navigate to the Bonuses page

    From the sidebar, click Bonuses to see your welcome bonuses and referral bonuses. Referral bonuses are displayed in a dedicated section below the welcome bonuses.

  2. Click "Add Referral"

    Click the Add Referral button to open a side panel with the referral entry form. This is separate from the welcome bonus form since referral bonuses have different fields.

  3. Enter referral details

    Select the card you used to generate the referral link, enter the points amount, and set the referral date (defaults to today). Optionally add a note — for example, the name of the person you referred. Click Save Referralto save the entry with "Pending" status.

  4. Track the status

    Each referral bonus has a status: pending (waiting for the referred person to be approved and meet requirements), posted (bonus points have appeared in your account), or denied (referral was not credited). Update the status as it changes.

  5. Monitor issuer caps

    Each issuer has an annual limit on referral bonuses (e.g., Chase allows 5 per year). The referral section shows your usage against each issuer's cap — for example, “3 of 5 Chase referrals used this year.” Once you hit the cap, generating more referral links for that issuer won't earn additional bonuses until the next year.
