Tracking Welcome Bonuses

Monitor your minimum spend progress and never miss a bonus deadline.

  1. Navigate to the Bonuses page

    From the sidebar, click Bonusesto see all your active and archived welcome bonuses. Each card's bonus is tracked separately with its own spend progress and deadline.

  2. Click "Add Bonus"

    Click the Add Bonusbutton to open the bonus entry form. You'll need to have already added the card under the Cards page before creating a bonus for it.

  3. Enter bonus details

    Select the card, enter the bonus points amount (e.g., 60,000), the minimum spend requirement (e.g., $4,000), the card open date, and the spend window in months (typically 3 months). Altitude calculates your deadline automatically from the open date and spend window.

  4. Deadline is calculated automatically

    After saving, Altitude computes your exact deadline date and begins tracking spend toward the minimum requirement. You don't need to calculate this yourself — just enter the card open date and spend window.

  5. Track your progress

    The progress bar on each bonus card shows your current spend versus the target amount. Urgency colors indicate your pace: green means you're on track, yellowmeans you're at risk and should accelerate spending, and redmeans you're significantly behind with the deadline approaching.

  6. Mark as earned when complete

    Once you've hit the minimum spend requirement, mark the bonus as earned to archive it. This moves it to your Archived section and keeps your active bonuses list focused on what still needs attention.
